"Billy, what on earth is Doctor Who?"

Doctor Who is the world's longest-running science-fiction television programme,
having originally aired on the BBC in the UK from 1963 to 1989 and spawning
a movie revival in 1996. Chronicling the adventures of eight Doctors and more
than thirty companions against countless foes -- human, alien and otherwise
-- throughout time and space, Doctor Who remains the greatest example
of the genre, and continues to cross media, having appeared in print, on stage,
on film, on radio, and elsewhere.

Even now, Doctor Who survives in two ongoing series of original novels
(one chronicling the ongoing adventures of the Eighth Doctor, while the
other tells new stories about earlier Doctors) and a series of original
audio dramas featuring (to date) the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Doctors.

Doctor Who is about the Doctor, an alien Time Lord from the planet
Gallifrey who, in direct contravention of his people's edicts, stole a time
machine -- a TARDIS -- which is now stuck in the shape of a blue police
box due to a malfunction. The Doctor explores the universe, usually in
the company of companions he meets along the way, aiding the
oppressed, fighting injustice, and putting his unique and indelible mark
on the broad canvas of time and space.

The Longest running and by far the best Sci Fi show that has become a Legend!
I was a child when I first discovered the Adventures of the Doctor!

Now, years later the Web has become a great tool in promoting the show and it's
history and's future!
